Kiwis

Healthy gums: In order to keep our gums strong, we need to take in enough vitamin C. Kiwis are also a great source of vitamin C and they're pretty delicious too.

Tip: Mangoes and oranges are also great sources of vitamin C.

Dried apricots

Even skin tone: Dried apricots are full of iron which will help improve your skin tone.

Tip: Eat a few a day by adding them to your cereal or by snacking on them at work and you'll notice the benefits in no time.

Citruses

Anti-age your skin: We love a fresh glass of orange juice in the morning and our skin definitely thanks us for it. Packed full with vitamin C that helps to produce collagen, the tissue that makes the skin elastic, orange juice doesn't only taste delicious, but it leaves us looking younger too!

Tip: Smoking, sun damage and pollution reduce the production of collagen in the skin, which leads to wrinkles. Start squeezing those oranges!

Prunes
Strong nails: If you've noticed your nails have become brittle or developed vertical ridges then include iron rich foods like prunes in your diet.

Tip: Make sure you always take your nail varnish off with a proper remover. Chipping away at it yourself will just increase the brittleness.

Flaxseed

No zits: These little seeds are rich in Omega fatty acids, the 'good' fats that help balance our oestrogen levels. If you have a hormonal imbalance and your testosterone levels are higher than the oestrogen ones, it can lead to unwanted weight gain and acne. Add ground flaxseed to your cereal, yoghurt or salad to keep the spots at bay.

Tip: Grab some flaxseed from Holland & Barrett
